Ryan Coghlan

As an undergrad I worked with algae and molecular biology techniques in the plant science department.  After I graduated I worked for 4 years as a Production Scientist in the blood test manufacturing department of a large biotech company.  I always felt that I wanted to get an advanced degree but wasn't sure if a traditional Masters or PhD program was what I wanted to pursue.  I chose the PSM program because it has a lot of what I want in terms of advanced science knowledge but also has a strong business aspect, which is what I am interested in.  Oregon State's Applied Biotechnology program has what I need to pursue my future career aspirations.  After my degree is completed I hope to get involved with a small biotech company or become part of the ever growing green energy field.
